The Solar Plant project, a monumental endeavor set to revolutionize electrical power generation in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. This ambitious initiative is slated to become a mega project harnessing solar energy for electricity production, making significant strides in sustainable energy practices within the country.

With an estimated capacity of 150-250 MW, this solar farm will utilize Photo Voltaic (PV) Solar Panels covering an expansive land area of approximately 2,000,000 square meters. Once operational, it is projected to inject around 440,000 MWh annually into the National Electricity Grid. This substantial output is equivalent to powering approximately 46,000 medium-sized households with their full electricity demands, showcasing the project's significant potential impact on the country's energy landscape.

The mission of the Solar Plant extends far beyond electricity generation. It is designed to address critical needs, including contributing to the Kurdistan Region's electricity requirements and supporting governmental initiatives spearheaded by the Kurdistan Regional Government’ (KRG) Ministry of Electricity.
